Lincoln Navigator Recall
Lincoln Truck issues Official Safety Recall Notices to inform vehicle owners
of car defects that have come to the manufacturer's attention. Recalls also suggest
improvements that can be made to improve the safety of your vehicle. Often times
this recall your Lincoln Truck dealer can perform work for free. Knowing what
recall notices have been issued on your vehicle helps you keep your vehicle in
the best and safest working order. For instance, in August 19, 2002 Continental
AG recalled more than half a million tires used on Ford Expeditions and Lincoln
Navigators.

The company said the tires are "not performing up to standard." The latest recall
involves 600,000 size 275/60R17 tires used on 2000 and 2001 Ford Expedition and
Lincoln Navigator sport UTEs. Customers were asked to take their vehicles to Ford
dealerships, which replaced the tires with Continental P265/70R17 tires at no
cost. Investigations found out that these tires were not performing according
to standards after two years in service, Continental said in a statement. The
company said the tires were displaying uneven tread wear.
